paiement et sécurité
how paying here works
Everything on this page is what we would want to know before typing a card number into a shop we had not used before: what currency, what tax, which cards, when the money leaves, who holds the card details, and what happens if something goes wrong.

01currency and tax
- currency
- EUR (euro) — every price on this site is in euro and is labelled as such
- tax
- prices are inclusive of VAT (TTC) at the applicable French rate
- delivery
- charged separately, free from €120 of goods — see delivery
- what you are charged
- exactly the total shown on the order summary before you go to the payment step
- invoice
- issued with VAT shown, sent by email with the order confirmation
We do not convert into other currencies and we add no surcharge of our own. If your card is issued outside the euro area your own bank may convert and may charge for that — that relationship is between you and your bank, and we never see the amount it charges you.
02what you can pay with
The card schemes accepted at checkout are:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- Cartes Bancaires (CB)
- American Express
The payment methods available on the secure payment page are those configured for this shop by its operator, and the list shown at checkout is authoritative for your order.
- There are no subscriptions, no memberships, no stored balances and no loyalty points on this site. Every payment is a single one-off payment for a single order.
- We never store a card for future use and we never take a payment you have not initiated.
- We do not offer payment in instalments.
03when the money actually moves
- 01You give your delivery details and accept the terms. Nothing is charged at this point — the order is recorded as awaiting payment and given a reference.
- 02You go to the secure payment page and enter your card details there.
- 03Your bank authorises the payment, applying strong customer authentication if it decides to.
- 04Once authorised, we take payment and send you an order confirmation by email. That confirmation is the moment the contract is formed.
- 05We dispatch within two working days.
If authorisation fails, the order does not proceed, nothing is owed and nothing is dispatched. You will see the reason your bank gave, and you can try another card.
04who holds your card details — not us
Card numbers are entered on the secure payment page, not on this site. Your card number, expiry date and security code are never transmitted to this site, never processed by it and never stored on it. We could not show you your own card number, because we have never had it.
Payment is handled by a payment service provider certified to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Card data is handled entirely inside that certified environment. What comes back to us is the outcome — authorised or not — plus the last four digits and the card scheme, which is what appears on your order record so that a refund can be matched to the right payment.
- Strong customer authentication under PSD2 is applied by your bank where it chooses to. If your bank asks you to confirm, that is working as intended.
- No part of this site asks for your card details by email, by telephone or in a form. If anybody claiming to be us ever does, it is not us.
05the security of this site
- The whole site is served over HTTPS, including every form. There is no page here that submits anything over plain HTTP.
- The only data we hold about an order is what the carrier and the invoice need: name, address, email, telephone, what you ordered and what it cost. No card details, no date of birth, no identity documents.
- Order totals are recalculated on the server from our own price list at the moment of submission. A price altered in the browser has no effect on what is charged.
- Forms are rate-limited and carry an anti-abuse check, which cuts off automated card-testing attempts before they reach a payment page.
- Data at rest is held by our data processor and is described, with retention periods, in the personal data notice.
Retention periods, your rights over the data and how to exercise them are on the personal data notice.
06refunds and disputes
- how a refund is returned
- to the same means of payment you used, unless you ask otherwise
- never
- as a credit note or store balance, unless you specifically want one
- withdrawal
- within 14 days of us receiving the goods — see right of withdrawal
- faulty or wrong goods
- at our cost, under the legal guarantees
- fees deducted
- none
If you see a charge from us that you do not recognise, email support@ouestactive.online with the amount and the date before contacting your bank — we can usually identify it the same day, and that is faster than a chargeback for both of us. If we cannot settle it between us, a mediator is available free of charge; see mediation.
07when we will not take a payment
We may decline an order where there is a manifest pricing error, where a delivery address cannot be served, where a previous order is in dispute, or where a payment attempt has the pattern of card testing. In each case we tell you, and nothing is charged. Legal and shipping restrictions that could affect an order are set out in the terms of sale and on the delivery page.
